
Women's Volleyball Head Coach
This is Mandy’s third year as head coach at Ventura College. Two years ago she led the Ventura College volleyball team to an 18-2 record, going undefeated, and capturing the Western State Conference championship. Mandy attended Buena High School where she played volleyball and basketball. She also attended Cerritos College. While at Cerritos Mandy received such honors as Second Team All Conference and Honorable Mention All Conference. Mandy was the starting setter on the women’s team at Whittier College in 1998 and 1999, where she had 1,994 assists. Mandy broke the Whittier College assists record for most assists in a season with 1,040. She also broke the Whittier College record for most assists in a match with 73 assists in one match. While at Whittier Mandy earned first and second team All SCIAC awards. She was co-captain, co-mvp, and Female Team Sport Athlete of the year in 1999. Mandy received her BA in Child Development in 2000. She continued on at Whittier College as the Graduate Assistant for the women’s team pursuing her Master’s in Education, which she received in May of 2002. Mandy has coached for such clubs as Huntington Beach and Channel Islands. Mandy also coached the JV girls volleyball coach at La Serna High School in Whittier. In 1998 & 1999 she was the men’s club volleyball coach at Whittier. Mandy continues to coach the 16-gold team for Channel Islands Volleyball Club. Mandy is married to Leo and has twin daughters Isabella and Adrianna.
